The exhibition “Pieces of Home – Ein Mosaik der Zugehörigkeit” was created as part of the HeimART art project, a sub-project of Unser HaNeu, which was implemented as part of Smart City Halle.
From June 2025 to March 2026, people from Halle met regularly at the MGH Pusteblume to explore the questions “What is home?” and “What does home mean?” through art. The course provided a space to try out various artistic techniques, share personal experiences and find individual forms of expression.
It was not just about creating art, but also about meeting others, exchanging ideas and reflecting together on a topic with many facets. The participants brought different perspectives, life stories and cultural backgrounds and made these visible in their work.
The exhibition showcases a selection of these works. It took place in March 2026 as part of the Bildungswochen gegen Rassismus at the Neustadt Centrum. It is now also available online here on this website.
The exhibition is part of the vision behind Unser HaNeu: it aims to give a voice to local people and create spaces where people can share their own stories.
