Ice cream parlors are actually perfect meeting places. After all, all walks of life meet here, thinks Aron Boks and licks a pistachio ball with relish. Aron Boks is a writer, columnist, poetry slamer and this year’s town clerk of Halle until the end of September. For this task, he set the search for community as a topic and visited various meeting places in the city for his research. So it’s high time for a meeting with us in Halle-Neustadt. What about community and social cohesion today? How does his ADHD disease affect his creative work? What does the after-turn child think about his own East identity and how is he doing with the upcoming state elections as a native of Saxony-Anhalt? We invited Aron Boks to talk and he put us on a scoop of ice cream.
