The exhibition “Pieces of Home – A Mosaic of Belonging” was created as part of the art project HeimART. HeimART is a project by Unser HaNeu and was implemented as a part of Smart City Halle.
From June 2025 to March 2026, people from Halle met regularly at the Mehrgenerationenhaus Pusteblume. Together, they explored the questions “What is home?” and “What does belonging mean?” through creative work. Participants were able to try out different artistic techniques, share their experiences, and express their thoughts and feelings through art.
The project was not only about art. It was also about meeting others, having conversations, and exchanging ideas about a topic that can mean something different to everyone. Participants brought in their own stories, experiences, and cultural backgrounds and made them visible in their artworks
The exhibition presents a selection of these works. It was shown in March 2026 during the “Bildungswochen” at Neustadt Centrum. Now, the artworks can also be discovered here on the website.
