The HeimART art course, a subproject of Unser HaNeu, is opening an exhibition:
Pieces of Home – a mosaic of belonging
Since June 2025, people from Halle have been working together on the HeimART art project to create art around the question: What does home mean – and what is home?
In the exhibition “Pieces of Home – a mosaic of belonging,” we are showing the results of this creative journey. On display are films, collages, sculptures, installations, prints, and sound works.
The participating artists come from many countries and generations. For some, home is Halle-Neustadt, for others a place in Turkey, Syria, Ukraine, or Kenya. Home can also be a feeling, a person, or a memory – something that cannot be pinned down.
Our exhibition invites you to look, listen, and perhaps also reflect on your own ideas of home and belonging.

Opening event: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 5–7 p.m.
Exhibition period: March 26–28, 2026, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. each day
📍 Location: Neustadt Centrum Halle, Neustädter Passagen 17d, 06122 Halle (Saale)
