The Magistrale is the most important street in Halle (Saale)-Neustadt, Germany.
It was built at the end of the 1960s to connect the new district with the old town.

There are many tall residential buildings, shops, and services along this street.
The Magistrale was an important example of modern urban planning.

Many well-known places are also located along the Magistrale, for example Neustadt Centrum Halle, Saale-Center, the Eselmühle shopping center, and the TRYP by Wyndham Halle hotel.

Later, a tram line was also built that runs through this street.
Today, the Magistrale is the center of Halle-Neustadt because many people live, shop, and travel there.

The Schwimmhalle Neustadt swimming pool is also located on the Magistrale. One of the special events connected with this place was the spontaneous visit of the late Cuban president Fidel Castro in 1972. Outside the official program, he swam several laps there in the swimming pool.
